Library delivers good reads

Rain, snow, sleet or shine, recipients of the Mahomet Public Library’s Homebound Delivery Service are sure to receive their library resources right on time. Despite the cold weather and snow we received last Thursday, library volunteer, Ron Prescott was out delivering books and other resources to the Homebound Delivery Service patrons.

Mahomet women shake up workouts

Mahomet women, 24 to 74, turned out at the Mahomet-area Curves location last Tuesday night for their first Curves Circuit with Zumba Fitness® Class.  

The diverse group of women gathered around Instructor, Michelle Maloney, before the class began to receive direction and a few pointers.

MSJH student, Bulldog Buddies council helps raise funds

Fundraising during the holiday season has been a long-standing tradition around Mahomet-Seymour Junior High School. Marissa Manuel, a Special Education teacher at the school has organized some type of fundraiser for the school through her Bulldog Buddies program for the last seven years.

Russian exchange students visit Mahomet

A group of Russian exchange students and their accompanying administrators and chaperones were received with a warm welcome on Nov. 1 at Mahomet-Seymour High School. The group is visiting from Vladimir, Russia, which is located about 120 miles east of Moscow and part of a program arranged by Tom Murdoch, the enrichment coordinator at Mahomet-Seymour Junior High School.
