Marsha Bohn

BEMENT — Marsh D. Bohn of Bement, born Feb. 14, 1942, in Mulkeytown to Cora and Clearance Andrews, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Kirby Medical Center, Monticello.

By her wishes, there will be no services.

Marsha was always very fond of her many years living in Salmon, Idaho, and the many friends she made there. Marsha loved to travel and visit friends and family, especially the casinos on the way.

Marsha is survived by her brother, Monty Andrews (wife Margaret) of Franklin, N.C.; son, Gary Bohn (wife Cheryl) of Mahomet; five grandchildren, Bradley Bohn, Brittany Moxley (husband Matthew), Cortney Bohn, Emily Bohn and Gregory Shepherd; and two great-grandchildren, Kyla and Hallie.

Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, Cora Andrews and Clearance Andrews; brother, Jack; husband, Jack E. Bohn; and daughter, Lori A. Bohn.

Jane DeMoss

MAHOMET — Norma "Jane" DeMoss died at home Friday (June 8, 2018) in Mahomet with family at her side. She was 75 years old.

Mrs. DeMoss was born in Oakland on July 21, 1942, to her parents, George and Lois Herrington. She married Paul DeMoss on Dec. 15, 2007. Paul and Jane enjoyed spending time with family in their home. Jane enjoyed cooking and having family dinners several times a week. Jane enjoyed playing bingo and frequenting garage sales. Jane's passion was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed teaching them how to cook and always believed in having fun, regardless of the mess that was made.

Jane is survived by her husband, Paul Demoss; daughters, Rebecca Williams and Trina Ard; sons, John, Leslie and George Williams; brother, Terry Herrington; sister, Ruth Tresner; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lois Herrington Hall; stepfather, Joe Hall; four brothers, Donald, Russell, Darrel and Larry Herrington; twin sister, Wilma Jean McCoy; and grandson, Andrew Ard.

Jane's celebration of life service began at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at First Baptist Church, 402 S. Elm St., Mahomet. Final resting place was at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

John Charles 'Pete' Doman

GIFFORD — John Charles "Pete" Doman, 76, of Gifford passed away at 12:07 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville.

A celebration of life was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Gifford. Gary Maxwell conducted the services.

Mr. Doman was born March 2, 1942, at Mercy Hospital, Urbana, the son of Mary and Merle Doman.

He married Carolyn Doman on June 5, 1990, in Urbana. She survives in Gifford.Also surviving are a son, Matt (Amy) Doman of Mahomet; one daughter, Daile Doman (Darren Wilken) of Gifford; and grandchildren, Brandon, Cameron, Justin and Katelyn.He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mark Doman; and his sister, Clara Santonocito.

He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He retired in 2003 from Rantoul Products, where he was a production supervisor.

Lux Memorial Chapel handled arrangements.

Pamela Furrer

MONTICELLO — Pamela Diane Furrer, 36, of Elmhurst died Tuesday (June 5, 2018).

She was employed by Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood after earning her BSN at Loyola University.

She is survived by her husband, Nat of Elmhurst; parents, Bob and Sue Trusty of White Heath; sisters, Sarah (Daniel) and Rebecca Trusty, both of Sterling, Va.; in-laws, Ron and Linda Furrer of White Heath; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law of Mahomet; and nephew.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, John and Minnie Poll of Decatur, Dick and 'Mickey' Trusty of Indianapolis and Carl and Wilma Goodman, also of Indianapolis.

A memorial gathering was from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello.

Jack Holderer

MAHOMET — Jack Holderer, 76, of Mahomet died at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday (June 12, 2018) at Piatt County Nursing Home. Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Owens Funeral Home, 102 E. Dunbar St., Mahomet.

Kevin Richards

FARMER CITY — Kevin Richards, 67, of Farmer City, formerly Prophetstown and Decatur, died Saturday, June 2, 2018, at home.

A celebration of life will be held in early August.

Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, 106 N. Main St., Farmer City, is in charge of arrangements.

Dean Sampson

FISHER — Comer Dean Sampson, 72, of Fisher died at 10:04 a.m. Monday (June 11, 2018) at Liberty Village, LeRoy.

His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, at Lamb Funeral Home, Gibson City, with the Rev. Andy Baker officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2018, prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Foosland.

Mr. Sampson was born June 28, 1945, in Battle Creek, Mich., a son of Comer and Grace M. Brandon Sampson. He married Mahala I. Scholer on June 10, 1978, in Mahomet. She survives in Fisher.

Also surviving are his children, Sandra (Scott) Burnsmier of Monticello, Mark (Andrea) Tilford of Normal and Marsha (Don) Hays of Fisher; and seven grandchildren.

Dean worked for Springfield Electric for 38 years, retiring in 2009.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
