M-S bass fishing team finishes 12th in sectional

The Mahomet-Seymour bass fishing team of C.J. McKinney and Ethan Terry competed in the IHSA Bass Fishing Sectional at Clinton Lake last month.

The tournament was initially scheduled for May 3 but was cancelled because of weather and rescheduled for May 7.

McKinney and Terry placed 12th with a combined weight of 3 pounds, 4.16 ounces.

Cerro Gordo won the tournament with a combined weight of 16 pounds, 0.63 ounces.

Other participating teams included Argenta-Oreana, Bement, Clinton, Decatur D. Lutheran, Decatur Eisenhower, Decatur St. Teresa, DeLand-Weldon, Farmer City's Blue Ridge, Macon Meridian, Maroa-Forsyth, Monticello, Central A & M, Mount Zion and Niantic (Sangamon Valley).
