MAHOMET — The Village of Mahomet issued a reminder to residents this afternoon that while the administration office remains open downtown, those with village business are advised to conduct it electronically or via means that create no public contact.

The village issued this press release:

We want to remind residents that if you have business at the Village Administration Building, our goal is to limit public exposure and interaction. We are encouraging individuals who have to pay water/sewer bills to utilize the mail, online payments options, or use the drop box next to our front door or the box in the driveway adjacent to the Village Administration Building. It is also a great time to consider direct debit options as well.

For those who have other business with the Village, please contact a staff member by phone or email first. A village staff directory with contact information is available under the “Government” tab on our website.

Our Village of Mahomet Parks & Recreation Department has taken steps to either postpone or cancel upcoming programs through the April 17 at this time. Please visit the Mahomet Parks & Recreation Department facebook page or www.mahometrecreation.com for more details.
