The Mahomet-Seymour High School PBIS team held its 2019 ‘Breakfast of Champions’ on Nov. 21. The goal of this recognition program is to honor students who exhibit positive qualities in extracurricular activities, classroom behavior or educational experiences. Again this spring, students who may not be the top athlete in a given sport or the student with the highest GPA, but who stand out in an activity or the classroom as a true ‘champion’ were recognized. MSHS leaders said they like to call these students the unsung heroes of the high school. The ‘Breakfast of Champions’ occurs twice each year with a different group of students selected each time. Honored on Nov. 21 were, from left, Drew Tee, Samara Kemp-Taylor, Skylar Bickers and Sara Rigg.
