MAHOMET — The village of Mahomet is scheduled to perform the oil and chip seal coat program the week of June 10, weather permitting, according to a news release from the transportation department.

While staffers so far are unable to give an exact day or time when the work will be done on any given street, those streets that will receive the oil and chip seal or oil and steel slag seal coat are:

— Weathering Drive from Dorchester Drive to the north cul-de-sac.

— Andover Drive from Weathering Drive to State Street.

— State Street from Jefferson Street to Franklin Street.

— Augusta Drive from State Street to State Street.

— Willow Lane from Franklin Street to the west end.

— Locust Street from Jefferson Street to the east end.

— Elm Street from Oak Street to Franklin Street.

— Union Street from Elm Street to Jefferson Street.

— CR 150 E from Mid America Road to the southern village limit.

— CR 2000 N from CR 150 E to the west village limit.

— State Street from the junior high school to Dianne Lane.

— South Mahomet Road from CR 425 E to the west line of Whisper Meadow subdivision.

— CR 425 E from South Mahomet Road to the southern village limit.

This application is done by spraying oil on the street and covering the oil with white rock chips. The rock is then compacted with a roller. During this project, the street will be closed for approximately 30 to 60 minutes.

Those who park a vehicle on the street are asked to move the vehicle(s) off the street beginning June 10 until the work is complete.

Should inclement weather occur, the work is scheduled to be done the following week.
