FRANKLIN, TENN. — James Melvin Emmett, age 86 of Eagleville, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 5, 2019.
Jim was born in Petersburg, Ill., on Sept. 6, 1932, son of the late Clarence Emmett and Loraine Oliphant.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Marietta Willis Emmett; son, Vincent (Brenda) Emmett; daughter, Vickie (Rich) Leipzig; sisters, Jeri Wagner, Clarice Sloan and Doris Bacon; nine grandchildren, Lacey (Matt), Grant, Eva, Stella, Berke, Luke, Andrew, David and Steven; and three great-grandchildren, Finley, Beau and Everest.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2019, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Michael Tilford officiating.
Burial will follow in Williamson Memoral Gardens with military honors for the Navy veteran.
Memorials may take the form of donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in loving memory of James Melvin Emmett.
