MAHOMET — The Mahomet-Seymour Junior High seventh-grade girls’ basketball team continues their meteoric rise. The Bulldogs are 16-2 this season and have steamrolled most of the competition this season. The eighth-graders have run into a little bit more of a rough patch. The Bulldogs are 11-7 and dropped two games this week.

Seventh-graders roll

vs. Normal Parkside

Selah Campion had a game-high 10 points to help the M-S seventh-graders cruise past Normal Parkside 34-14. Kylie Waldinger chipped in nine points, and Ellie Dallas poured in seven in the 20-point romp.

Claire Seal battled valiantly and scored 10 points, but the M-S eighth-graders dropped a 24-20 decision.

M-S splits vs. Mattoon

The seventh-graders improved to 15-2 this season with a 17-10 victory over Mattoon.

The eighth-graders fell to Mattoon.

Looking ahead

MSJH will travel to Monticello to take on the Sages on Monday.
